Medium to large fruit, pyriform-shaped, its colour varies from green (when unripe), to yellow (ripe), tender pulp, fine, crisp and firm.
Also known as Williams Bon Chretien or Bartlett, it originated in Aldermaston, Berkshire, England, where it appeared around 1799.
